AIRcable Serial to Serial
Connect standard serial devices without using cables!
AIRcable Serial-to-Serial provides a fast, convenient way of connecting any computer equipped with a serial port to other serial (RS-232) based devices such as laboratory equipment, point-of-sale
devices, scanners and printers without using any cables.
The AIRcable Serial-to-Serial package comes with two Serial3 modules.
Intelligent and Programmable NEW!
The Serial3 is now intelligent and programmable via the onboard AIRcable OS.

Versatile Hardware
The Serial-to-Serial package allows the following configurations:
- Serial-Male to Serial-Female configuration: one that plugs into the serial port of your computer (DTE), and one that plugs
into the serial (RS-232) port on your peripheral device (DCE).
- Serial-Female to Serial-Female (Null-Modem): two DTE connections, both with SUB-D 9 female plugs. With the null-modem configuration the transmit data and receive data lines are crossed, and the DTE ready and DCE ready lines are crossed.
The Serial Wireless Cable modules conform to the industrial standard EIA-232-E for serial data communication and act as transparent pass through devices, i.e. as a RS-232 cable without wires. It
provides complete emulation of all RS-232 signals.
The AIRcable Serial does not require any software to establish a Bluetooth connection. There is also no need to change any software on the connected devices. The AIRcable serial is a true "cable
replacement" product. The serial data rate is manually adjustable between 4800 bps and 115200 bps. The DCE module has a Sub-D 9 pin male connector, the DTE module has a Sub-D 9 pin female connector.
Data rate can be different on both modules, thus providing a baud rate conversion.
Both AIRcable Serial modules can be powered through pin 9 or with the optional power supply from the external power plug. They have a wide range of input voltage: 5-15V.
Every AIRcable Serial3 module is now shipped with a free null-modem adapter that is used to convert the male serial plug to a female serial plug and supports power through pin 9.
